Welcome to the home page for the Vice Province of Richmond Redemptorists, serving the southeastern United States. The Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, more commonly known as the Redemptorists, was founded in 1732 by St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori. We are an order of priests and brothers immersed in the work of redemption. Our goal is to remember and to live the motto that St. Alphonsus gave us over 250 years ago, "Copiosa apud eum Redemptio," translated this means: "With Him there is plentiful Redemption. Our ministry covers parishes, retreat houses, ministry among migrant workers, among the elderly, and in giving Parish missions. It is through these various ministries that as Redemptorists we hope to be able to help others understand the Plentiful Redemption that Christ offers each of us. We in the Vice Province of Richmond hope that in some way this web sight can assist you on your spiritual journey. As a Christian people our walk with the Redeemer is an ongoing journey of discovery; allow us to assist you in some small way by sharing our story and our ministry in these pages. |
